Day 50

"All my life I've been going somewhere, aimed toward a fixed point on the horizon that seems never to draw nearer. In the beginning, I chased it with abandon, with confidence, and somewhat later with frustration, and then with grief , and later yet with the clarity of an escape artist. It is far too late to stop, even if I run in my mind only, out of habit"

- Carrie Snyder "Girl Runner"

I just started to read "Girl Runner" wrote by Carrie Snyder  and decided to share with you that quote (above). The words in this quote are so accurate not only literally for the main heroine of this novel but metaphorically they reflect our life.  Our existence is like a great marathon. We run for career, happiness, money and so on. We run sometimes blindfolded without set up point. We run driven by ambition, sadness, regret at times. Our existential run is all about choices, decisions and its consequences. The older we get life becomes complicated and resembles more of a hurdle run.
